Barbara (née Palvin) and Dylan Sprouse’s relationship has always been defined by their laid-back, playful nature. So for their wedding, held this past weekend in Harlekin Birtok, Hungary, Palvin ensured that her bridal beauty was similar to her everyday approach – though elevated, of course.
“Barbara had sent me photos from the fitting, and there was this beautiful simplicity to the whole look,” says hairstylist Owen Gould of Palvin’s Vivienne Westwood gown. “We wanted the hair to reflect that, so we decided on hair down with a centre part and a soft bend. Just beautiful, flowing, healthy hair.”
Gould readied Palvin’s brunette mane with Bumble and Bumble Prep Primer and a dollop of All-Style Blow Dry, blowing lengths into a silken shine with the help of a boar bristle brush before setting with a large barrel curling iron. The resulting look was deceptively effortless, easy, and loose – save for a small handful of embellished barrettes from Jennifer Behr that were artfully slipped behind the model’s ears, to keep her glossy mane in place.
A near-natural make-up look created with Armani Beauty – brown-smoked lids, filled brows, and an ever-so-slightly overlined peony pink lip – and a diamond choker from Tiffany and Co. rounded out Palvin’s beauty moment for the ceremony. And for the evening? A low-slung half-up style finished with a white bow kept the overall aesthetic as chic, sweet and fun.
“When people think of ‘bridal hair’, I feel like they think of those old school updos, but any hairstyle can be bridal hair,” says Gould. “You should look like the best version of yourself on your wedding day.”
